Sample Essay With Score of A on AP English LanguageHave you ever had to write a sample essay with a score of A on AP English Language? If so, you know that it is an absolute nightmare. I had to do it in high school and it made me feel like crap for days after I finished writing the essay.First off, I should say that I actually really enjoyed the AP English course. I liked the way it was broken down into logical chunks and the fact that I could understand everything in about six weeks. I went in with a pretty good idea of what I wanted to write and my teacher helped me a lot, because she knew what she was doing.Then I had to write the essay. It seemed like the only way to write something in a reasonably short amount of time was to be able to do two things at once, not the best way to do it. This meant that I needed to write the essay at the same time I was studying and practicing my practice test. This sucked.I found that most of the students on my English class were struggling with s ome part of the essay. One of them had been writing a document that mentioned some other people in his family that he thought might have helped him when he was younger. The other student had a section that discussed how his childhood was full of movies and television. And of course, there was always that one student who wanted to talk about some horrible incident from his or her past.The trouble with the essay is that it is not very well-structured, especially in the way that some of the essay questions were worded. For example, one question asked the student to write about how they felt about their parents as a child. There was not enough space on the page to even answer this question.The hard part was figuring out where to begin and what the easiest way to do it was. Most of the time, if I was not sure of the answer, I would just go back and look at my notes and figure out where to start.I still think that the AP English course is a good one, but it did make the task of writing a sample essay with a score of A on AP English Language a little bit harder than it would have been otherwise. I will definitely try to put in more effort into that essay and write it in the future.
